The Biggest Gain & The Biggest Loss - Shirley's 303rd Friendly Greeting, April 24,2011

Happy Easter!

This is a special and hard week for me.

Bearing the sharp pain on my legs, according to the arrangement of the school, I went to the Art Gallery of Beijing Academy to visit an art exhibition on Tuesday, to attend the lesson of Professor Yao Shun Yu Xi on Thursday, and then, I went to paint from the Nature in a peach garden, until Friday evening, I could not stand up after the painting in the peach garden and I felt that my waist would be broken.

The recent lesson of painting from the nature in Shandong has offered me most since I came to CAFA. Since I came back the lesson, I have been have the feeling that I want to paint anything that I have seen, so that our monitor and many classmates said that I am in the best situation and got the most.

From the lesson of landscape, I have also realized that no matter what kind of lessons, flower and bird, landscape or portrait, we should paint from the nature or true people. We must touch the true things that we want to paint with a 0 distance, to understand it totally, and then we can really express it rightly. Of course, this is just the first step of the art creation.

Anyway, the biggest loss of the lesson is that some of my disease has been in recurrence. Many symptoms that had lost before I came to CAFA have come back to me again so that I had to stay in the bed to read at most of the time, to walk rely on the walls and to call my doctor to think of going back to the hospital in Shenzhen...

The good news is after lying on the bed for whole of the weekend, now I have felt better and I can sit by the computer or paint for several hours again.

So, the biggest lesson that I have learned this week is that we have to look after ourselves seriously, no matter how we love our work, how want to work on it, if the workload is beyond the acceptability of our boy, it will refuse to work via the sharp pain or the other style.

Therefore, I must change my work style and re-arrange my work time, to keep a long life and a healthy body, then I can make my dream to be true.

How about you? Do you have any thing special to share in the week? Do you have any similar lessons as I have?

Take care and thanks, have a good weekend.
