Greeting

Painting from the Nature-- Shirley's 565th Friendly Greeting Which Is From Beijing- Nov 8, 2017

How are you? Have you had a wonderful new week until now?

On my side, as soon as I came back from Australia, I evolved myself into the last jobs of my publication.

Since the publishing house will not give me the ISBN to my book and DVD until Thursday, I have come to the suburb of Beijing, to have a course of painting from the nature by my Supervisor – Prof. Mu Jiashan on Tuesday.

We came here in the later afternoon, on Nov 7, when we started to paint, it was getting dark, so, instead of going out of the yard, I was painting out of the door by the light of the house we are living in.

Then today -- Nov 8, we went to paint in the mountains in the day time and the supervisor commented our works in the night and pointed out of the problems in our work and told us what we would pay more attention to correct them in tomorrow's work.

It was quite cold out of the door in the November in Beijing in the mountains. Especially when we on the back of a mountain or the sunshine was gone, the wind was just like a knife cutting on the bones... So, I do feel that to learn Chinese mountain and water paintings is not only a thing to improve our painting ability, but also, or the more importance is to improve a person's volitional quality...

I feel lucky for the God looked after us so well that after several cloudy days, it was sunny since yesterday, so, most of today, we worked in the sunshine.

I am happy for I have found the answers of some questions from the ancient art books in my reading as soon as I saw some the mountains in the nature...

Also, I am touched by our supervisor -- Prof. Mu Jiashan and the local Guide and also an artist -- Mr. Li for both of them not only painted most, but also drove for students and arranged everything for students... have made a wonderful example for the students...

Ok, because we will have to get up to enter the mountains, I will stop here temporarily...

How about you? Do you have anything special for share?
