Greeting

Happy New Lunar Year - Shirley's 387th Friendly Greeting, Feb 9, 2013

Happy Chinese New Year!

Today is the Eve of Chinese New Year. It is a special time as similar as the Eve of Christmas, all of the family members are sitting together, to have a reunion-dinner, to say Good Bye to the past year and to start a new Lunar Year.

At the most important time of a year, I would really like to wish you and your family members will be happier, luckier and more successful in the new Lunar Year!

As most of Chinese, I had planed to fly to Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China, or Sydney, Australia to have a reunion dinner with my family members.

Anyway, since my stomachache and headache have just gone for 2 weeks and 1 week, the edema on my fingers just started to reduce and the sprain on my low back is just getting better, all of my family members advised me to protect my health by staying at home in the warm Shenzhen and do not have any travel at this time.

With a little bit pity, but a peaceful heart, I have chosen to stay in Shenzhen, to have a quiet and thinking vacation.

Right now, I have totally gone out of the little bit confused and little bit not adaptation situation that I just retired. I have made sure what I should do and how I should do in the upcoming new lunar year. Except learning the traditional Chinese painting as the fine art, I would also like to develop my advantages and to bypass my disadvantages. To work on the advantage work in person, to make just a model on those disadvantage things, to leave this part to my future cooperators...

I mean that I will continue to work on the comprehensive art project, mainly work out of a product frame, a business model, make sure the development directions and strategies... While, I would also have some cooperation with the others, to develop the project on some bigger and better flat roof with a new and higher level.

Anyway, I know that the precondition is to make my own work better and more valuable at the first.

With this idea and base on the new column – Shirley’s Comprehensive Art that I just opened last week, a part of the registration information in the backstage has been moved on the home page of my little web site this week.

At the same time, I have completed another 4 new paintings of the series stories behind my series of paintings – 《二十四孝图》: Er Shi Si Xiao Tu -- The Pictures of the Twenty-Four Dutiful Children. I am going to make a new long scroll with 24 paintings and 24 stories in the winter vacation. To form a new series that can match my last series of voiced, bilingual poems and paintings. To excavate, study and spread something deeper in the treasure-house of Chinese traditional cultures.

Since time will enter the Chinese Snake Year in few hours, I have updated the article to See Your Luck in 2013 Year According Chinese Shengxiao / Zodiacwith 12 Chinese Shenxiao /Zodiac Stamps and re-edited the articles about Chinese Spring Festival.

You can see them by hitting the links below and hope you enjoy the lines on the new paintings, the Chinese style Zodiac Stamps and hope to bring you a big smile. :- )

How do you think of my idea? Do you have anything special to share?
I am just a student on Art of Painting, Music, English and Management, to work on the web site in my free time. I would really like to do a few things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be an Electronic Bridge of Inter-Art & Cross - Culture Exchange, Chinese Language Learning & Friendship Making. To help the others while to improve myself.

I would like to appreciate you for your understanding, directions, supports and help.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, you are welcome to write to shirley@ebridge.cn or leave your message on Message Board.
