Greeting

A Short Note - Shirley's 390th Friendly Greeting, March 3, 2013

How are you? Are you enjoying your weekend now? I do hope you are.

This is just a short note to say Hello to you regularly.

For I must work on my publication and get some necessary ready for my upcoming travel, instead of going back school in Beijing March 1, I wrote a formal report to the school and asked for leaving for a while.

Except doing much work with my designers and engineers together, this week, I have written 7 new articles on Chinese history, arts and I have re-written my foreword.

At the first, I felt a little bit bore because I had no time to paint. However, the more I read and wrote, the more I enjoyed the thinking and writing, the more I felt peaceful. Because, I do feel, art is not only a job relates to technique. Anyone who has a normal mind can master it after working on it for a while, something most difficult and important maybe relates to the inside of an artist, behind the art and the technique themselves.

So, the much reading and writing will certainly help and support my future creation. It is in fact a process of recalling, summarizing and accumulating. It will be certainly a silent transforming influence of my study and exploration.

Today's slow down, is for tomorrow's fast working. Stop painting temporarily for a while, is for get more improvement and development for more long-term.

When I re-wrote the foreword for my publication, I just realized a so touched thing: since 2010, I have attended the lessons by 45 tutors (35 professors / associate professors who are the tutors of doctor students or master students and 10 doctors or instructors) in Chinese National Academy of Arts and China Central Academy of Fine Arts. I have gotten their directed directions face to face.

What a luck person I am! How can I not work harder?

Now I cannot go back school in time, but I will find a way to offset the loss some day.

How about you? Do you have anything special to share?

I am just a student on Art of Painting, Music, English and Management, to work on the web site in my free time. I would really like to do a few things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be an Electronic Bridge of Inter-Art & Cross - Culture Exchange, Chinese Language Learning & Friendship Making. To help the others while to improve myself.

I would like to appreciate you for your understanding, directions, supports and help.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, you are welcome to write to shirley@ebridge.cn or leave your message on Message Board.
