Greeting

A Grateful Heart - Shirley's 233rd Friendly Greeting From China - Mon., Dec 28, 2009

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I do wish you, your family members and friends will be happy, lucky, healthy and more successful in the new year. :-)

The doctors in Shenzhen Armed Police Force Hospital excluded the possibility of cancer via the Pat - CT for me last Tuesday. I came back to my office last Friday and I have been in the company at 7:30am this morning.

Our company had met our revenue goal for whole of the year ahead for one month in November. I have learned the summary speeches of my boss on the summary meetings of our Multimedia News (TV, web sites and magazine), Data and Technology . I have also gotten the summary of every department as well; I am going to learn them carefully, to work harder for the company and for my country.

Even though the problem that my blood sedimentation is higher than the normal standard has not been explained clearly yet, since I just feel ache when I go dowstairs on my left leg, I would like to come back to work while to make the other medicine checking later. After all, there are too many X-rays and too much medicine in my body right now, I should let it has a short rest. :-)

This morning and last Friday, when I re-started to drive in the avenues, the pink Chinese redbud flowers on the trees and the fresh air out of the hospitals made my heart smile. What a good feeling to leave from the hospitals and to re-become a “Free” person. : -)

With a grateful heart, I bought a big basket of flowers and 16 funny "Christmas Babies", to thank my doctors, nurses, bosses, colleagues and friends... :-)

Except the doctors and nurses in the Digestive System Department/Institute in Shenzhen People’s Hospital, I would really like to thank the vice dean of the center of PAT-CT of the Shenzhen Armed Police Force Hospital? Dr. Liu Rong, a 38 years old's medicine expert.

I was so touched by the great job of her center. Within the short time there, I felt the first class service from the smiles, patient talking and good skill of her doctors and nurses; I found the cleanest washroom in her center? it is clean as same as I had seen in the US. I also read many meaningful mottos in their desk calendars...

Since 12:30am I was in her center to meet a doctor while to drink a bottle of medicine first time, to be injected some medicine in my vein at 2:00pm, entered the room of Pat ?CT at 3:30pm and I got her short message on my mobile phone at 10:30pm to tell me that they had excluded the possibility of cancer for me while she suggested me to adjust my health by Chinese traditional medicine, to reduce my headache times, while to reduce to take painkillers. If I needed, she would also like to help me to meet some experts in Guangzhou. I was sure that they had been working for me on the more than 150 photos, the checking reports and the medicine DVD... unitl at least 10:30pm...

From the so responsible and wonderful jobs of the Army Hospital and Dr. Liu, I have really seen a more wonderful future and endless hope of Chinese medicine industry.

I was touched by her and her colleagues so much, I am proud of being their new friend.

As soon as I left from the Army hospital, I got the help from a Head of Nursing Ms. Gong Min and an expert on Spine Surgery -- Dr. Yan. They checked my photos and taught me how to protect my legs and to improve their power via sport exercise. So, instead of taking much medicine, I have bought a machine of Food Massagers to help me via Chinese traditional medicine style, to exercise some Chinese "Gong Fu" while to adjust my eating and sleeping styles.

I am confident with myself and I hope to work on art and music for another 30 years. : -)

With a grateful heart, I invited my Chinese art teacher and two friends to help me to choose 26 pieces of my paintings. Then I wrote 26 Christmas cards, fixed my paintings into 26 boxes and sent them to the US. I would like to perform a my promise that I made when I was in the US ? to thank every professors who had taught me and to thank those people who had help me with my own art works.

Even though the time is a little bit later for a Christmas gift since my mother's past away and my own operations, even though the 26 packs's post cost is very expensive and the work time of these painting is very long, even, I did not eat my breakfast and lunch until 4:00pm on Sunday, my heart is easy and singing... :-) I am happy that I have kept a promise as some Chinese idioms said "Yi Nuo Qianjin" and "Junzi Yiyan, Si Ma Nan Zhui" -"A promise is worth ( or weightier than) a thousand ounces of gold ;" "Word once said cannot be retrieved even by a team of four horses".

I have recorded these paintings' names, sizes, whom I have sent and taken some photos before I sent them out, except expressing my grateful heart, I would also like to make it to be a part of my Cross Art Exchange Dreams, to deliver Chinese cultures and friendship to the other cultures. Because, I do believe that art of painting, music and language should be the best bridge to connect people from different cultures. :-)

Of course, my paintings will rise in value along with the time since Shirley will certainly become a “great artist” some day. :-)

So, except the work in the company, I am going to paint, to sing and to write the beautiful parts of life with a grateful heart for whole of my left life...

How do you think of my idea? Have you had any grateful heart to the others and to the world?

Take care and thanks, have a good weekend/new week.

Shirley
I am just a learner on art of painting, music and English, to work on the web site in my free time. I would really like to do a few things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be an Electronic Bridge of Culture Exchange, Chinese Language Learning & Friendship making. To help the others while to improve myself.

I would like to appreciate your understanding, directions, supports and hope to get your friendly direction and help.
