Fourth Anniversary of Art Learning... Shirley's 81st Friendly Greeting-- Sun, March 17, 2007

How are you? Have you had a good week? I do hope you are well and have a relaxed and easy weekend.

This week, we have made sure our revenue target and social responsibilities in 2007. The whole of the work has been distributed into different departments. We have also signed the contracts with 14 department managers. The departments that can complete their duties, better than the contracts, will get reward of salary and bonus. The departments that can not complete their duties will be punished with reduce of salary and bonus. We will check the work of support departments according to their service quality and the satisfying rate of their users. We will check the work of business departments according to their revenue.

This Saturday, March 17, 2007 is the 4th anniversary that I have learned the art of painting. Also it is the time that I have learned art of vocal music for 4 years and 4 months. Instead of completing a special picture as I did in the past years, I wrote an article to summary my art learning process and to appreciate my 4 teachers on my learning road.

I can not imagine that I had changed my destiny with a hard work on my career road in the first 10 years after I came to Shenzhen, between 1992 to 2002. Then I have learned art of painting and vocal music over 4 years from 2002 to 2007 in my free time already. And I can not imagine how the art learning has changed me as a very peaceful person to treat this world and the others with so much grateful, tolerant and a wider heart.

I deeply feel that art learning has taken me into the beautiful great nature -- to feel the beauty of a mountain, a river, a flower and a fish -- To discover the kind part of human being, to feel and to express the wonderful parts with my own colors, views and feelings. Art learning is making my nature to be recovered out -- smiles are getting more and more, a grateful feeling is getting more and more, tears are getting less and less, life quality is getting better and better... Art has helped me not seek fame and wealth -- instead of spending my limited free time to sell a picture as some friend's suggestions and wishes; instead of accepting a report by TV station, newspaper and magazine, I pay more attend to improve my art culture and skills. I am sure that I will exhibit and sell my paintings some day, but, it is not now, when I am just a beginner.

An interesting thing is that I do have found that art learning and working have brought me some philosophic thoughts ? For example, when I am dealing with the middle colors or when I am singing a song I often think of the "golden meaning”. I do feel that a real person should keep a balance in his or her life and work, and does not do anything ultra. Just like painting and singing, we can not only use a deepest or a lightest color only, to sing the highest or lowest tone always, we have to find the balance among in the middle colors and mediant part. From this meaning to speak, the art learning has made me to feel the art of real life and work. It is also making me to find my own weakness every day. I have not felt any picture and any song of mine can be given 100 marks yet. I will not satisfy with my art works and I would be a learner past, now and in the future...

As a creative work, art can not been learned 100% forever, art learning will accompany me forever.

Do you do anyhing fun except your career working? What is your favorite thing in your free time?

I am just a learner on art, music, English, French and the work on the web site in my free time. Anyway, I would really like to do a little bit things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be An Electronic Bridge Of Culture Exchange, Friendship and Language Learning. During the process to help the others and to improve myself.

I do appreciate your understanding, directions and supports. I do hope to get your great help continuously now and in the coming time...
