Greeting

The More Tolerant, The More Peaceful -- Shirley's 93rd Friendly Greeting -- Sun, June 24, 2007

How are you? Have you had a good week? I do hope that you are well and have a relaxed weekend.

Monday evening, as soon as I came back home, I realized that my cleaning lady had cleaned my home, before her doctor allowed her leaving from hospital after a surgical.

Last week, she told me that two doctors suggested her to accept a surgical. She would stay in a hospital for 10 days and she wondered whether I would find another one to work for me and whether I would take back my keys from her. I do need a cleaning lady for the temperature out of the door has been 35 C degree, but, I knew she needs this job. So, instead of reducing any salary for her absented time, I gave her 170% of salary this month to help her and I did not take back my keys as well.

I am sure this is just the reason that she came to take care of my life before she left hospital. I was touched by her and I really feel that a tolerant heart will get a kind return.

Then on Tuesday evening, my car was crushed seriously by a man's car on the road, when I came back home on the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival.

My head hit on the ceiling of my car with a heavy crushing sound. With a serious ache, I went down my car and asked him "What has happened to you?" He answered, "I do not know, I am confused." Instead of speaking anything with a high sound, I called the insurance company and he called the traffic police. Before I finished my telephone, a policeman told me that I needed not do any thing, for the man had to stand for 100% of the responsibilities. The man spoke many times 'Sorry' to me. Also, he wanted to take me to one of the branches of TOYOTA to repair my car. I felt funny for he had crushed my car when all of the cars on the road were driving with a very slow speed at the traffic jam time near the evening. I could not help to answer him with smiles, since you did not really want to crush me, so, you need not say Sorry again. Let us remember the lesson. That is OK. I do not need you to repair my car since both of us have insurance and I need not pay any money for the accident and I will ask my colleagues in the administration office to deal with it for me next day, after all, that day, I have had 5 meetings and I was too tired to deal with the repair my car.

Then, in the night, instead of being in a bad emotion, I read some poem/art books, to think and design my new picture and I played piano with a peaceful heart. I had not been affected by the accident in my heart at all. Even I have forgotten what the man looks like, except remembering that he also had a TOYOTA. Even though it had really made my car to be damaged so seriously, that I did not have a car to drive in the too hot days for 5 days already. Anyway, I do think that to keep a tolerant heart to treat the others has brought me a very calm and peaceful heart.

The more tolerant to the others, the more peaceful inside.

How will you deal with this kind of things if you meet an accident as I did?

I am just a learner on art, music, English, French and the work on the web site in my free time. Anyway, I would really like to do a little bit things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be An Electronic Bridge Of Culture Exchange, Friendship and Language Learning. During the process to help the others and to improve myself.

I do appreciate your understanding, directions and supports. I do hope to get your great help continuously now and in the coming time...
