Greeting

A Book, A Window; A Language, A Gate - Shirley's 105th Friendly Greeting--Sun, September 16, 2007

How are you? I do hope that you are well and have an easy and relaxed weekend.

This Saturday, all managers of the company and sales teams from 11 offices came back to the Shenzhen headquarters to attend a new products training.

According to the plan in 2007, we have produced three new information products in digital TV, mobile phone and mini laptop fields. Plus our web sites, opened/closed circuit televisions, telephone and magazine, a multimedia real time financial and securities information system has been found, as we have been dreaming since the new company was found in 2002.

So, except daily work this week, I have spent much time with our technology departments to make the final system testing. To resolve some problems between business and software departments, software and system support departments, database maintenance and data flowing process and the new servers buying. Being busy and in a delight emotion. After all, we are following the steps of the new technology revolution, to create and develop our own information industry chain via combining The Top Technology from the Others and the First Hand Information from Ourselves.

So, no matter how busy we are, we keep encouraging and offering the team some training and learning opportunities. An American software expert has offered us a lesson for whole of the week. All software engineers attended it in their free time..

I am smiling now when I would like to tell you something in my limited free time. This week, I have bought 19 music books in Chinese, English, French and Italian, also a new mini scanner as my English reading helper.

Instead of going to a teacher as I learned French, I missed the lessons often for not having time, so that I wasted much money and gained little French. I would like to learn Italian via learning my vocal music lesson. I see the lyrics by the great musicians and poets as my text. What I sing, what I learn. Not only learn Italian, but also learn English. With this way, I have previewed my second Italian song Caro Mio Ben by G. Giordani(1573 - 1598) and first time, I have known what Luciano Pavarotti was singing.

Ha, so many feelings, about books, language and new technology learning, are jumping into my mind. Even though I have not found time to write them out yet, I have had a title here: A New Book, A New Window; A New Language, A New Gate…

What is your thought about books, language learning and new technology revolution? Do you agree with me?

I am just a learner on art, music, English and the work on the web site in my free time. Anyway, I would really like to do a little bit things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be An Electronic Bridge Of Culture Exchange, Friendship and Language Learning. During the process to help the others and to improve myself.

I do appreciate your understanding, directions and supports. I do hope to get your great help continuously now and in the coming time...
