Greeting

The 30th Friendly Greeting From Shirley, China, Sun, March 12, 2006

How are you? Is everything ok with you? I really hope you are well and to have an easy and relaxed weekend.

Wed is the Woman’s Day. We re-changed the members of the Women’s Committee in the company, gave every woman colleague 2 movie tickets, some money as festival fee, published woman work plan in 2006 -- to organize English learning, Yoga training, Mountain Climbing, Speech on how to deal with a good human relationship, how to do a makeup as a professional woman and so on… Friday evening, we invited a native English speaker from the U.S. to offer the first oral English lesson. I’ll continue to work as the director of the women committee. We do not do anything that relates to polity and woman movement, but we work for helping the company to care for women colleagues, to resolve their difficulties, to improve their qualities and culture level as professional women. This is a part of our corporation cultures. So, the company gives us some money as the activity fee yearly.

Does your company have any women organization? Does your company care for your woman employees?

This week, I was very touched by my art and vocal music teachers. Last evening, my vocal music teacher Ms. Mary Ma was sick and I stopped her to come to my home for my vocal music lesson. But, she came in the rain tonight for she did not satisfy the song that I had put on the web site last night. Also, she told me a good news that her two students have been matriculated by two music colleges. I made a joke that I would be matriculated if I corrected my age on my ID and made an operation for being younger… :- ) I am so lucky to meet her, just for her responsible work , I am able to keep until now, from Nov, 2002 to March, 2006.

Meanwhile, I do appreciate my Chinese art teacher Mr. Tao. This week, I just knew that I am his only adult student and every Wed, for offering me an art lesson, Mr. Tao has to give up to teach another two students. That means his income is reduced 50% on Wed evening. But, he has taught me for near 3 years and he said that he was touched by my learning attitude and quick progress so that he rather than teach me as now...

Can you imagine? Both of my art and music teachers are younger than me. They call me Elder Sister. I respect them very much in their professional fields and also I see them as my own "younger brother" and "younger sister" out of the lessons... I am thinking that the first thing that I should do is to send my movie tickets to Mr. Tao and his girlfriend. For offering me a lesson, he could not accompany her on the Woman’s Day on Wed. : - )

I am just a learner on art, music, English and the work on the web site. Anyway, I would really like to do a little bit things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be An Electronic Bridge Of Culture Exchange, Friendship, and Language Learning. During the process to help the others and to improve myself. :-)

I do appreciate your understanding, directions and supports. I do hope to get your great help continuously now and in the coming time...

If you have any questions, comments and suggestions, please write to shirley@ebridge.cn , or shirleyz004@haoo.com, You are welcomed to publish your opinions in the forum, too. :-)
