Chinse Classical Peom--007: Jing Ye Si--Homesickness In The Peaceful And Moonlit Night

Hi, friends, today, I would like to introduce a new Chinese classical poem namesJing Ye Si.In English meansHomesickness In A Peaceful And Moonlit Night.It was written by Li Bai (A.D.701―762) in the Tang Dynasty (A.D.618-907). Li Bai was one of the greatest poets in his times. He has a very important position in Chinese poetry history as well. This is a little one with 4 lines and 20 words from his 900 poems.

Note: Chinese poem could be sung in the ancient, but, most of the music have lost along with the time. For helping you to understand and remember this poem, I recorded a part from a Chinese popular song by Ms. Mei Yanfang and hope you enjoy it. :-)

Homesickness In The Peaceful And Moonlit Night

Bright moonlight is by my bed,
Is it the frost on the ground?
To raise my head to look at the bright moon,
to lower my head to miss my hometown.
