Sep 20, 2013, I finished my last 3 free Chinese Painting Classes at Seymour R-II School, ate a quick lunch (you cannot imagine how an American teacher eats fast, because there is only 20 minutes for them to eat, Oh, my God, almost every noon, before Mrs. Wanda Nova and I finished our lunch, her students came into the classroom. Also, when I was in Kentucky, very often, I saw the local teachers ate in their cars), I napped in Mrs. Wanda Nova's car.
I did not know why, after the last surgery on August 21, I often felt sleepy and stomachache in the nights. Since I came to Springfield 12, and Seymour 14, to Sep 20, almost every night, I was waken by the sharp ach. Especially on the first day I was in Seymour on Sunday, Sep 14, when I woke up because the sharp ache in the middle night, several times, I touched my cell phone, and I wanted to call the Consulate of Chicago, to asked them to pick up me going back China. However, I didn’t, gave up halfway was not my style, after all, so many people had done so much effort for me, I could not make them frustration and I could not let the children in the disappointment.
Rely on the painkillers and the sleeping as much as possible, I kept working until Friday and I did feel the stomachache had gone.
To be honest, in case I had a so good friend and my American art and English teacher Mrs. Wanda Nova, even though I had checked out from the motel, I had a comfortable environment in her car.
Anyway, when I was sleepy in her car, she was still having lesson, as soon as finished her job, she drove me to Ava. Then she went to the prison to offer Bible class for the prisoners as a volunteer.
What a good American art teacher she is! What a lucky person I am!
