Dr. Liu Juli is the Secretary of Party Committee of Shenzhen Auditing Bureau and she has been my good friend since 2002, when she was working on her doctoral dissertation.
I do not know who introduced us to know, but we first met at my home and she carried so much data in so many magazines and she was worrying about her time so that she wanted to give up to work on it.
Except encouraging her to complete it, I introduced her to use the best Search Engines – Google (it is a pity we can not land on it in China right now) and Baidu and to found her own database to sort and to deal with her data... during the process she wrote her paper, we talked a lot of about our dreams, goal and tried to outline our own working layout together... Since she completed her paper and got her doctoral degree, she has been promoted twice, from a deputy director general to be a director general and now a Secretary of Party Committee.
At the same time, I introduced her to my music teachers and she has learned to sing and to play piano... :- )
Can you imagine? Both of us organized a female chorus in our own organizations respectively. I hired a music teacher and a native English speaker to teach the woman employees in my company to sing and to learn English and Cantonese ; she hired a music teacher to do the similar thing in her industry. :- )
Along with the progress on our cause, we have become best friends. In case there is anything too difficult to result, we would like to call each other and to have a talk together...
So, 2 weeks ago, after I got the news that the publishing house would like to put off the publishing plan of us, I wrote her and hoped to hear her opinions about my work now and in the future. At once she responded me and encouraged me to keep completing the book and she would like to do her best to help me.
Then last Saturday, March 20, she came to my home to see me and we had a good talking.
Can you imagine? Because she would have to go to Beijing on Monday, at about 11:05p.m.,she called one of her best friends who is an English literature professor of a Britain University and made an appointment with her for me.
Both of them will come to my home on April 7 or 8 to have a talking with me on my book and try to help me to push the work forward...
What a good friend Dr. Liu is! What a lucky person I am! Right?
