Shirly Sung China (Inner Mongolian) Folk Song--036: The Night Of the Grassland

LISTEN TO SHIRLEY SINGING THE SONG

It is a long time that I wanted to re-sing and re-record the songs on my web site, I do have felt that I should make the level of the web site to be improved along with my learning on Music.

So, tonight, I started this work and I asked my teacher to direct me to re-sing and re-record the fold song The Night Of the Grassland
that I had introduced it for you last August in my vocal music lesson.

Once more, I felt the comfortable feeling when I was singing. :-)

Can you imagine the different feelings when I was singing in different phases?

At the first, I basically did not know how to sing, but, one day, I felt that I was just like a butterfly, my belly part was just like the big wings of the butterfly, my chest part was just like the small wings of it, when I was singing, both of the parts pushed the breath into my head part.

Then, in another day, I suddenly felt that I was just like a bottle gourd, the big ball of it was my belly, the small ball of it was like my chest, both of them have been together to push the breath into my head and the sound went out from its top.

Now, I feel that I am just like a bee, the three parts have been connected together as the big belly of the bee, to push the breath to go out of my pate.

Before, I had been so tire when I was singing just for 2 or 3 minutes and I often felt my waist or legs or somewhere else ache when I was singing, just like I was doing a heavy physical job. Now I have never felt so tire and ache here or there when I am singing, even though to sing for 1 or 2 hours.

Anyway, even though I made my air-condition at 25 C degree tonight, I was still very hot and sweated when I was singing. :-) Ha, it is really a comfortable and a wonderful exercises for me right now, a good enjoyment on Saturday night after a long long business time... :-)

I do hope that my singing will bring you a big smile, to help you to know a little more about Chinese culture. Also, I hope that you can feel my little bit progress. :-)

MAIN MEANING OF THIS LULLABYLISTEN TO SHIRLEY SINGING THE SONG

What a beautiful and peaceful night view it is!
there is only my tweedle on the wide grassland.
How I want to send a love letter to my girl
in the far away place,
It is a pity that there is no a postman
to deliver my love to her yet.

I am waiting for the day
-- snow is melt in the thousand mile's grassland,
I am waiting for the day
-- spring wind has come to the grassland,
I am waiting for the day
-- Kekedala grassland has changed its feature,
-- my beloved girl will come to accompany my music.
Lai, lai, lai, lai,
lai,lai, lai, lai,
lai, lai, lai,
lai, lai, lai,
My girl will come to accompany my music...
