 LISTEN TO SHIRLEY TO SING THE SONG
 The visiting of my former roommate and her husband makes me recall many things that I have forgot. :-) As millions of young students who had been to the frontier of Heilong River (between China and Russia), Inner Mongolia (between China and Russia) Yunnan, Xinjiang from big cities in the Culture Revolution. We spent our youth and best ages in the extra hard environment with positive and optimistic emotion in the especial times.
Today, we are considered as a generation that had been delayed and be thought as a tragical generation. Yes, it is. But, at that time, we did not really realize it at all.
As the youngest Sweet Little Potato in the team, I was lucky to pass the national examination and entered the university as soon as the Culture Revolution was finished. My roommate and her husband missed their opportunities. But, they came back to their hometown -- Haerbin City and their son has graduated from university and has become a designer right now. The best thing is that both of them still keep their love started 30 years ago until now:-)
When we talk about these right now, we feel something pity. Meanwhile, we feel lucky enough for we are still living after experiencing so much hard time included the test of death. After all, there were some people have left their young lives on that land forever.
That is why I suddenly had a feeling to sing the song The Pure White Roseson the Bank of Heilong River that I learned first time in Oct, 2005.
So, Saturday afternoon, after coming back from a company training, during my guests did not come back from Zhuhai, I re-sang and re-recorded this song and hope it is a little bit help to you to know more about Chinese culture and to improve your Chinese listening level.
