This is my 1622nd Chinese painting since 2003,the 942ndChinese Xieyi Painting.
Chinese painting has a lot of characteristics. But in my opinion, the most important characteristics are two: it is a linear art and it is a comprehensive art.
So, since 2003, when I put down my Gouache Painting and started my first Chinese painting, I have been studying them and hope to create my own cross-cultural and comprehensive art based on them, mainly on the second one.
Anyway, most of the time, I did my Chinese paintings with Chinese ink lines. Until March 2010, when I first touched Chinese Mogu painting at China Central Academy of Fine Arts. I started to use colored lines to create my own Chinese paintings and specially studied it during I was at the Chinese National Academy of Arts; however, they have been limited to flowers and birds.
This time, when I am painting my small landscapes, I used colored lines mainly for the first time; then I found some new results...
Do you like this kind of change?
