This is my 1621st Chinese painting since 2003,the 941st Chinese Xieyi Painting.
I painted this picture for the first time when I was a student at the Chinese National Academy of Arts. Then, during one of my trips to the US, an American friend said that she really enjoyed it and wanted to have it. So, I sent it to her as a memory...
Now, many years have passed, and I did it once more on Dec 4, 2025, because I enjoyed expressing the clouds in the vast area... Every time when I am on a flight, what I like most is looking at the clouds out of the windows of airplanes... It can bring me a lot of imagination... Just like in my childhood, very often when I looked up at the sky, I could see some lovely "animals and plants" and imagined how many ladders I needed so that I could be in the sky with them together...
Did you also often dream this when you were a child? Do you still have any dreams when you look up at the sky and clouds now?
