Greeting

Happy New Year & A New Start -- Shirley's 569th Friendly Greeting Which Is from Beijing- Jan 6, 2018

Happy New Year!

Originally, I would like to write to you on the New Year’s Day as soon as I completed my first creation in 2018. However, I could not help creating the second one. Therefore, until yesterday, I just completed the second painting and tried to combine both of the two pictures together. I mean I wanted to create some sole paintings, meanwhile, tried to combine them together and become a bigger painting...

However, as soon as I finished the second one and wished to write the regular letter to you, I thought a topic about what I am creating – Pine Tree which is a very important part of Chinese cultures, so, I could not help writing a short article to introduce something about the pine tree in Chinese culture (It is below with the second and third painting together)... then, until now, I can just sit down to write this letter. :-)

Anyway, I do not think that you would feel bad for I am a little bit later but maybe you are smiling for Shirley’s lack of planning. :-)

However, sometimes, art is just something from an instantaneous inspiration from life or something else. Do you think so?

Ok, now, I would like to go back to continue my 3rd creation in the new year and to think whether I should color it. Do you think that I should color it or not?

By the way, as soon as my 2 volunteered work partners -- Mr. Ye Fan, Mrs. Mu Jinqing and I handed in the technique part of the second volume of the second Cross-cultural & Comprehensive Art Serie -- Together With Me, Learn Chinese Culture and Language by Enjoying and Practicing Paintings, Music & Poetry to the Jinan University Press on Dec 30, 2017, I re-started my usual schedule on multi-arts studying in 2018 : Vocal practice, English, Art study and so on...

I would really like to cherish the last student life in Chinese National Academy of Arts for another 1.5 years and try to learn as much as possible...

How about you, do you have anything special to share?

I am just a student on Arts of Painting, Music, English and Management, and work on the web site in my free time. I would really like to do something with what I have learned, to make this little web site to be a little Electronic Bridge of Cross -cultural and Comprehensive Art Study and Chinese Language Learning, to help the others while to improve myself.

I would like to appreciate you for your good understanding, directions, supports and help.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, you are welcome to write to shirley@ebridge.cn or leave your message on Message Board.
