Happy Christams & New Year!--The 19th Friendly Greeting From Shirley, China, Sun, Dec,25,2005

Happy Christmas and New Year!

I am so happy to meet you in million and million people in the world. I do hope everything is better with you and your family, friends, be healthier, younger and happier in your festival, holiday time and in new year!

In China, more and more people are celebrating Christmas. The words of Merry Christmas, the pictures or models of Santa Claus, the Christmas trees can be seen in most of the buildings, shops, restaurants and public occasions. There is also a high Christmas tree in our company and even there is an article with the title: What is the origin of the Christmas on the notice board in the garden that I am living in. :-)

Can you imagine? Almost every waiters/waitress and clerk is working in the red Christmas hats as well.

My vocal music teacher told me that on the bus last evening, a couple of Western girl and boy stood up and gave their seats to an old Chinese old man. When I was working on the web site last midnight, I could still hear some people were making Christmas greeting …

I am smiling and very happy for the huge change of China. Even 10 years ago, there were only few people to celebrate Christmas. About 20 years ago, Christmas was considered to be something capitalism -- bad thing. But now, along with time, China and Chinese are opening so much and the target of my city is to become one of the best International cities in the world.

Anyway, there is no a holiday for Christmas in China. We are working busier than usual, because it is the end of a year. Every one has to summary the work in the past year and to plan for the next year. :-) So, in my professional field, except the daily work, I have completed my work summary and have made my working plan, target and target for next year.:-)

A fun thing this week is that I went to the office in a sport suit Friday afternoon -- we are allowed to wear in sport suits, T-shirts and jeans on Friday afternoon for it is near weekend and there are activities in the company often, dance, football, tennis, badminton, English learning and so on ... Can you imagine? I am the leader who organizes the free time activities for our women colleagues as one of our corporation cultures. :-) However, as soon as I was in my office, I had to go to send the company beneficence to the poor places to the city beneficence center. Wow! I had to rush back home to wear in a formal dress so that I had to work over time in the office after coming back…

Does your company pay attention to the corporation culture work? Do you enjoy taking part in any sport, music, art or the other activities?
I am just a learner on art, music, English and the work on the web site. Anyway, I would really like to do a little bit things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be An Electronic Bridge Of Culture Exchange, Friendship, and Language Learning. During the process to help the others and to improve myself. :-)

I do appreciate your understanding, directions and supports. I do hope to get your great help coutinuously now and in the coming time... :-)
