Have you had any experience that losed a best friend? Friday evening, a good friend's crying with huge sadness and pain from the other side of the Ocean made my heart almost broken...

I would like to comfort the friend and to share the huge sadness in my friend's heart, meanwhile, to comfort the past soul, I opened my music book and I chose this Italian song for them...

This song is from an Italian opera and be published in London in 1749. It expresses how a mother calls her dead duaghter and wishes her wake up from the foreversleeping quickly...

I could not find any ready English translation. So, I tried to translate it into English by myself, then I sang it in Italian, English and Chinese.

I really hope that my singing will bring my friend and all of the people who have had the sad experience that lost his/her best friend getting a little bit comfort; to bring those souls who have gone to the heaven peaceful and lucky...

I also wish that the beautiful tone of the Italian song will bring you a little bit pretty artistic breath...

LYRICS IN ITALIAN

Tre giorni son che Nina,
che Nina, che Nina,
in letto se ne sta,
in letto se ne sta.

Pifferi, timpani, cembali,
sveglia te mia Ninetta,
sveglia te mia Ninetta,
accio non dor ma piu
accio non dor ma piu

sveglia te mia Ninetta,
sveglia te mia Ni netta,
accio non dorma piu,
accio non dorma piu.

MAIN MEANING OF THE SONG

You have left the world for three days,
Ah, Nina,
you have been sleeping in your bed peacefully.

Listen to sounds of gongs and drum,
wake up, my Nina,
Do not sleep forever,
return back the world quickly.

Please wake up, my Nina,
pleas wake up, my Nina,
Please return the world quickly...
