I am smiling right now at the thought of introducing another Chinese classical poem by Tang Dynasty (618-907) poet -- Li Bai - he is really my favorite poet, so much so that some of my friends have written to me and asked me to introduce poems by other poets. :-)   

Ok, I will do that after introducing this poem for you. :-)

With his unique imagination as a poet, Li describes the height of the building that he was on and expresses his feelings of being on the high mountain. You see:

The stars were so near that he only had to stretch out his arm to pick them from the sky, also he was very careful to hold his breath and did not dare to speak aloud because he was afraid of being found out by the fairy in heaven... :-)

I enjoyed it as soon as I read it on Monday night, so I quickly started to write a piece of music to go with it and I hope it will bring you a big smile. :-)

I do hope my effort will be a little help to you in learning the Chinese language and in furthering your knowledge of Chinese culture... :-)
