Hi Shirley,

I recently saw a saying that could inspire some very meaningful thought and action. The saying was: "YOUR LIFE IS HAPPENING NOW. MAKE IT AMAZING!!"

I think you are on that path. With God it will be more amazing than you could imagine.

Dr. Kong Guoping- My Former Middle School Teacher from Beijing - March 17, 2013

Hello, Shirley,

Glad to see your new works.

I admire your work attitude -- try to do your best. It just like a student who wants to get 100 marks in his examination and an editor who wants to have 0 error rate, the target is higher, the result better.

Here is an idea I want to share with you: If we expect to complete a work with 100% of our effort, rather we make 120% of the effort than 90%. It will not suffer losses to work much more, it will be a pity to fail to succeed for lack of a final effort.

Anyway, if we have made 120% of the effort, the thing does not work yet, then, it maybe because of the objective causes. Then we will not have any pity at all.

Since we have done our best, there we will no have any pity.

Kong

Dear Shirley,

Thank you for your report on your progress.   My impression from your writing is that you have a lot of peace and enjoyment from your experiences in the arts.   You have been blessed indeed to have the contributions of so many accomplished artists and teachers.   Keep up the good work.   Dont fail to study as a part of your English development, the greatest book ever written, the Bible.   See what it says about the purpose of life.   Why do we exist? As you would study and genuinely seek to know, God will reveal this to you.

Appreciate you,

Steve

Dr. Bill R. Booth -- Emeritus Professor from USA -Feb 26, 2013 (extract)

Dear Shirley:

I like the new paintings and knowing how much pain you endured to create them makes me think that if you concentrate completely and lose yourself in your work you can accomplish a lot of results in your work.

I shall keep you in my thoughts as you continue to press forward with your work.   It is important to share your thoughts and ideas about art, music, poetry and Chinese culture through your work both in the DVD and printed and online versions of what you produce in the studio.   Take care and stay in touch.   But do see a doctor soon!

Dr. Bill R. Booth

Mr. Frederick Russell-- A Veteran from USA, Feb 26, 2013

Hello, my dearest one,

I must confess that I have a great admiration for you and your ambitious drive. Even though you can see and feel the effects of your continued work, you drive on and wish to accomplish that which you have begun. Health is not a condition which you can ignore, for it will come back to haunt you in a most severe way. What you suffer now is only a warning to rest and get far away from your work, even for a short time. I do not say these things trying to take you away from the things that are important to you but you drive yourself to much. It can only end in your falling over from work not completed and your drive for completion.

I am sure, from your writings that you find your peace and accomplishments within the Arts.I have no such skills but the ones that I have, I hold in deep respect for they all come from the Lord in Heaven.Even on the darkest of days, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. I wish you to care for health and live on to meet your   accomplishments and successes. I admire you and love you for whom you are. Peace, love and the Glory of God flow with you daily.

A friend and admirer,

Frederick Russell
