 Mr. John M. is my great American music teacher and one of the best English teachers whom I have not met yet.
I got the first email from Mr. John M. when I was in my holiday trip in Dali, Yunnan last Sep. Then we became teacher and student.
Mr. John M. is a musician who has a master degree on music. He plays and teaches trombone and piano in his school and takes part in many performances in his free time. So, he is always very busy on his weekends or holidays for his rehearses or performances. However, no matter how busy he is, he always tries to correct my emails, articles and told me why I had written a wrong word and how I should write a right word or a sentence.
As a musician, Mr. John M. is full of the fervency on music and he loves to help the others with his professional music knowledge.
This Feb., when he knew that I would like to sing a song names "Memory" that is from England music drama Cat on the stage in a Chinese Spring Festival Party yearly in the company, it was difficult to find a piece of suitable music to be my accompany music. Soon, I got a piano music via Internet at the first, then, I got a CD with Cat's original music that was from the other side of the Ocean.
I still remember the day that I had to go on the stage in the night. My vocal music teacher came to direct me last time with Mac, DVD and so on, but, she did feel difficult to teach me to sing in English. At this time, I got a telephone from Mr. John M., after hearing my singing, both of my vocal music teacher and Mr. John M. discussed how to help me to sing over the telephone together, even, he taught my vocal music teacher to sing in English at the first... :-)
You can not imagine what a successful that I made that night in the company's party. My song got a long time applause, and the general manager of the company went up to the stage to send a only bundle of fresh flowers that he sent out the night to me as the congratulation. After all, I am the oldest enployee in the young company and people first found that Shirley could be on the stage and sing an English song with a professional style.:-)
 This is just Mr. John. M. -- my great American music teacher and one of the best English teachers. It is him, helps me to have a confidence about myself on vocal music, also on English.
I do hope Mr. John M. and his wife and child happy, healthy forever in life and successful in career.
