 LISTEN TO THE TEXT LISTEN TO SHIRLEY PLAY & SING THE POEM
 On Saturday morning I was out running in the golden sunshine when I had to run back quickly because it began to rain. The rain was light at first, but as soon as I got home it became very heavy so that it was difficult to leave the house again. We often get sudden showers in my city during the summer season. These light showers have really helped to give us a clean city and to make temperatures more comfortable, they affect the environment in which we live ... :-)
Today, I would like to introduce a little poem by Tang Dynasty (A.D.618 - A.D.907) poet Wang Jia: Yu Qing -- The Sunshine after the Rain, to express how the rain affects the view in a little garden.
As usual I have composed and played a piece of music to set the poem to and I have also written some Chinese Calligraphy for this Poem. I do hope what I have done for you will be a little help to you in learning the Chinese language and in knowing more about Chinese culture. :-)

I saw the pistils among the flowers before the rain;
there are not any flowers under the leaves after the rain.
 Bees and butterflies are flying over the wall,
I can not help to suspect that the spring scenery is just in the neighbor鈥檚 home.
