 LISTEN TO SHIRLEY TO SING THE SONG:
 Hi, Friend, tomorrow -- Saturday, Jan 28 is Danian sanshi -- Eve of Chinese New Year. It is the time that every family member goes back home to have a dinner and to celebrate the most important Chinese Festival -- Spring Festival together. :-)
For making my vocal music teacher has an opportunity to be with her family together at this time, I had our vocal music lesson on Tuesday. :-)
Also, for it is the time for people to go back hometown, I would like to sing and introduce a Chinese folk song My Hometown Is Beijing to remember my birthplace and first hometown -- Beijing. :-)
Mr. Yan Su wrote the lyrics and Mr. Yao Ming created the music for this song. It is very kind and full of very strong Beijing local breath and Beijing's tone. When I was learning and singing it, I could not help to think of Beijing Opera and Jingdong Dagu -- an ancient Chinese art in the east of Beijing. How do you think of it?

and many famous cities.
When I am thinking quietly,
I still best love my Beijing...
Needless to say
the bright moon over the Temple of Heaven,
and the wind in the Beihai Park.
the lions on the Luogou Bridge,
and the pines in the Temple of Tanzhe.
I can sing endless
the Taihe Hall with red walls and green jade tiles
I can say endless the lights of Zhangan Street as a rainbow.
As soon as I see the siheyuan(courtyard) with wistaria and ancient pagoda trees,
I feel an emotional feeling with sweet,
clear and melodious
from their native Beijing tune and Beijing rhyme...
 Needless to say
the skyscraper and the revolving halls,
the machine rooms in the electronic street,
and the lights in the night markets.
I sing endless the busy and happy Wang fujing street
I say endless the famous cooking and delicious food
with beautiful colors, sweet smell...
As soon as I think of
the yutiao (deep-fried twisted dough sticks),
soya milk and ordinary cakes
as a daily life of a family,
a delicate, soft, sweet and refreshing country feeling comes into my heart.
I have been to all over the south, north, west, east
and many ancient cities.
When I thinking quietly,
I still best love my Beijing.
