The 10th Friendly Greeting From Shirley, China, Sat., Oct 29, 2005

Hi,Dear Friends

This is 10th friendly greeting from Shirley, China.

How are you? Is everything well you? I do hope you are well and be enjoying a good weekend.

This week, except the daily work, I completed a new project for the company and created a piece of music, painted a new picture and learned something in English in my free time. :-) Specially, I bought more than 10 albums of paintings, a Chinese movie songbook and Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince in English. I am not sure whether I have time to read the latter, but, I enjoy to collect a good book. :-)

Below is something I prepared for your weekend and hope to bring you a big smile. :-)

Chinese Xieyi -- 052(Flower & Bird): Chrysanthemum & A Little Bird
Wed. night, I learned to paint a Chinese Xieyi with a new way, to paint the lines of the flowers with a black ink brush directly, then colored them and painted my birds with a color brush directly. My teacher was a little bit worrying I would destroy the picture in case I painted a wrong brush on my bird and said it was a good picture already even though you would not paint a bird on it. But, I kept painting my bird because I felt that a bird was the soul of this picture, it would be a little fairy in the flowers. If there was no it, the picture would lack life and I did not want my flowers were alone there. Do you agree with me?
Chinese Classical Poem 0015: Yong Liu -- Intone A Willow
Tonight, I did make my vocal music teacher feel difficult. Because I had created a new music to match the poem “ Bu Zhi Xi Ye Shui Cai Chu, Er Yue Chun Feng Si Jian Dao ? I wonder who has cut out of the thin leaves, the spring wind in February is just like a pair of scissors “ along with my feeling freely, then recorded the tone on the paper. Do you know what tone I sang? bD, that means that she had to play 5 black keys. Also I made a mistake to write my b G to be #G so that she could not match me and felt headache for my music has not a rule at all. Until we had to stop for eating something, we found and corrected the wrong thing. Anyway, you can still find both of us were very carefully and a little nervous about our work. :-)
China (Tibet) Folk Song--010: Fan Shen Nong Nu Ba Ge Chang -- Free Slaver Is Singing
I have been enjoying Tibet fold song since I was very young. I do not know why, maybe I liked the flower dresses of the Tibetans girls when I was young. So, on Wed., when I bought the China Movie Songbook that is over 1000 pages, I felt that I got a treasure and first of all, I found the song that was sang by Cai Dan Zhu Ma ? the most famous Tibetan musician. I very wanted to learn her way to sing a Tibet folk song. But, I have not mastered it yet, just sang it for you to help you improve your Chinese listening level. Ok?
Chinese in Current Affairs - 006: How to Day "Fed Chairman --Birds Flu -- Trade Partners"
This week, in economy field, people maybe more care for the person selected of the next Federal Reserve Chairman and birds flu in the world. So, I chose and edited 3 sentences about Bernanke, birds flu and China’ top trade partners according to the information from Los Angeles Times, CNN -- Cable News Network and People's Daily --- the most important newspaper in China and hope it is helpful to you to improve your Chinese level. :-)

I am just a learner no matter on art, music, English and the work on the web site. Anyway, I would really like to do a little bit things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be An Electronic Bridge Of Culture Exchange, Friendship, and Language Learning. So, I really hope to get your help, support, and directions on matter on English language, cultures, skills or anything else.

If you have any questions, requests, advice, comments, suggestions, please write to shirley@ebridge.cn or shirleyz004@yahoo.com. You are welcomed.
