A New Opportunity & Challenge -- Shirley's 133rd Friendly Greeting -- Sun, March 23, 2008

Hi,Dear Friends
 How are you? I do hope that you are well and have a relaxed weekend or a Happy Easter if you celebrate it.
One of the biggest events of Chinese finance and securities market in 2008 is to push the GEM (Growth Enterprise Market) to be launched. Its working rules have been published to collect the opinions of the public this weekend.
As the appointed company to publish its first hand information real time in Chinese and in English, we will become the first multimedia information company that will be able to publish the first hand information of all of Chinese securities markets (Main board, SME board, GEM board, Fund and Bond) at the first time in China.
Except feeling a huge honor and biggest trust, we feel more responsibilities, obligations to the people and our country. We are facing a good opportunity and a new challenge.
Knowing the new market would be started at any time, we have being doing some preparative work since last year. Now, the Beijing branch of us has had 3 new TV studios with better equipments and bigger sizes than the Shenzhen headquarter. Also, we have matched a more powerful working team already.
Saturday morning, as soon as the work rules of the GEM were explored, we organized our managers to learn it. Meanwhile, the marketing and sales teams of us in the other cities came back to Shenzhen to discuss our work in the new situation.
I am glad to see the quick development of the Chinese securities market and our company. I feel lucky that I have been working in the industry since it was found. I cherish my career life in the industry. I would like to do my best for the country via my daily work. Every day, I am thinking and working on creating something new and innovating something old, to improve our work efficiency.
In my free time, I get up earlier to learn English before I go to work. I am happy that the Beijing Foreign Language College offers us a quite good English teaching system online. Every day, I gain some new knowledge; every day, I correct something wrong that I had not realized in my English using for a long time.
Meanwhile, I keep my painting and music learning no matter what has happened in my life. .

Shirley Created Art - Gouache --0122: Early Autumn
It has been my cleaning lady to look after my water, color and my teacher's tea when I was painting in my art lesson since 2003. As my first audience, she often gives me some comments on my new painting. Thursday night, she commented my water several times. Until I completed it, she still thought that my water seemed like a road. However, my teacher thought this picture has exceeded his imagine much more. He had not thought that I could complete it with a better level and rich colors. So, I was given 90 marks. How do you think of their comments? Do you enjoy this painting?

Trilingual Song--003: Shirley Sings the Italian Song --004: "Amarilli, Mia Bella -- Amarilli, I Adore You" in Italian, English & Chinese
It is the first Italian song I touched. I felt it was too difficult to sing for there are many semitones and "rr" in it. However, the more I sing it, the more I like it. I feel some special and different tone from Chinese songs. So, I sang and recorded it at least 60 times, more than 10 hours on the weekend. I have completed it in Italian, English and Chinese independently. I know there are many problems in my singing. I am looking forward to hear my teacher’s directions. She often encourages me to think of being a graduated student to learn Music while to research it in her Alma Mater ? Shanghai Music College. I think, maybe someday, after I retire, I will be a graduated student of painting and music at the same time? Now what I wish is, that my effort will be a little bit help to you to improve your Chinese listening level.

This week, in my English lesson, I have learned something about the difference between English English and American English. It really gives me some inspiration, that maybe I can combine my English studying and the Chinese showing on the web site together, to help you to learn Chinese while to improve my own English level?
