Chinese people love flowers and we have endued many different human qualities to different flowers in our culture.

This is my 47th Combined Paintingthat I created for Chinese Classical Poetry, andmy 608th painting since 2003.Also, it is my 94th assignment in China Central Academy of Fine Arts. My 11st Chinese Ink Landscape.

I created this painting for a Chinese classical poem, as a graphical interpretation, to show you the meaning of the poem.

Base on the first painting that I created August 29, 2010, this weekend, I re-created it on the weekend.

In Chinese culture, people often say that someone "get lucky", means
"has a luck of peach blossoms", that means that he or she will have a lucky marrige or he is loved by someone.

It is from a story in Tang Dynasty (618 - 907).

-- A gentleman named Cui Hu, he had a walk in the countryside on Qingming Festival, he met a girl in a peach garden he asked a cup of water from her.

Anyway, since he came back home, he has been thinking about the girl, at the same time, the girl thought of him. So,on the same day next year, when the gentleman wen to see the girl, he was told that the girl had been dead for the missing. He was so sad that he was sick, too. Their story touched the God, then, he made the girl relive and help them to be wife and husband... :-)

This poem below was just written by Cui Hu on the wall of the girl's house.

I read and recited this poem many years ago. Then on July 30, 2006, when I read it once more, I was touched very much by it so that I wrote a piece of music for the poem within 20 minutes, then I tried to translate it into English and explained it for my readers. :-)

Then on August 29, 2010, When I was sick, between the many medicinal checkings, I create the first painting with many bright colors for the poem. :-)

Then, this weekend, after I completed my second long scroll of 87 immortals, I felt so easy that I wanted to paint a little painting. Then I did a little Baimiao painting.

The beautiful view in the painting made me think of the meaning of this poem, so, I had an idea to correct the original tree to be a peach, made the tree covered by many peach peach blossoms... and then, I wrote the poem on the painting.

Now I would like to explain the poem for you below, and you can
clink the links over to listen to my music and singing of the poem.

MAIN MEANING OF THE PEOM :

Last year’s today in the same gate,
A girl’s face and flowers reflected the red.
No one knows where the girl is right now,
The peach blossoms are still smiling in the spring breeze.
