Learn the Meaning of the Poem & Its Created Background

See Shirley Created Paintings for the Poem March 15-16, 2012

This is my 65th Combined Paintingthat I have created / painted for Chinese Classical Poetry, and my 678th painting since 2003 ; also, it is my 52nd assignment in Chinese National Academy of Arts.

I painted this painting for matching a Chinese classical poem Shan Zhong Wen Da -- Asking and Answer by Li Bai (701-762) in Tang Dynasty (618-907)

I did enjoy this poem, therefore, in Jan, 2007, I created a piece of music, introduced the poet, creating background of the poem, explained the meaning of the poem and the Chinese characters' pronunciations in the Language Column on the web site first time.

This week (in March, 2012), I have re-done all of these jobs once more and all of the English writing work has handed my English tutors to check up and correct, I will let you see our final works later.

I do hope that our effort will be some help with you to learn Chinese culture.

You are welcome to see all of the jobs and give me your opinions and comments via the lines over.

The Main Meaning of the Poem

Asking & Answer in the Mountain

Li Bai (Tang Dynasty )

People ask me why I dwell in the Green Mountain,
Respond with a smile, my heart is at leisure.
Peach blossoms in the water flow far away,
There is another wonderland out of the world of human.
