Title: Shirley's Art Works 686 & Chinese Xieyi 368-A58: Shirley's 58th Assignment in Chinese National Academy of Arts March 31-April 1, 2012
Artist: Shirley Zhang
Size: 48cm x 232cm (18.89cm x 91.33cm)
Completed Time: April 1, 2012
Remarks:
This is my 368th Chinese Xieyi Painting and my 686 painting since 2003, the 58th assignment in Chinese National Academy of Arts.

Along with the time in CNAA, the size of my painting is getting bigger naturally, the height from 136cm, 180cm to this week’s 230cm.

This week, first time, I tried a painting quite high so that I had to stand on something to paint it sometimes. :-)

Even though I am not used of working on this kind of paper yet, I enjoy this process.

My tutor Mr. Lu Wenqing and my classmates who are good or famous artists gave me many encouragements. They also pointed out of the problem in my paintings, the biggest problem is the paper. It is not suiteble for Chinese Xieyi painting. So the Chinese Ink and the colors could not meet the ideal result.

Therefore, I will change my paper and try to paint a group of paintings with the same size soon.

How do you think of this painting? Do you enjoy it?

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, welcome to write to shirley@ebridge.cn or shirleyz004@yahoo.com ,you can also publish your opinions on Message Board . :-)
