This is my my 481st painting since 2003 and my 23rd integrated painting. Also, it is the 8th (25th) painting that I have created in 2010.

I created this painting to match a Chinese classical poem and the music that I had created for the poem in 2005 and 2007.

I wanted to appreciate the grass. It is very little plant in the world. But, it has a very strong life wishes and vitality. Even though it was burnt by the wildfire in the fall, or it has to hide under that snow in the winter, as soon as the spring blow over it, it will re-grow up the grand, to dress the land beautiful clothes. Just like these justicial things, cannot be pressured down always.

In Chinese culture, there are many poems to praise grass, and the one below is the most famous.

So, I had translated and created some music for it 4 years and corrected 2 years ago. But there, I could not sing it in English yet. This weekend, I re-corrected the music, translation and the comments, also since some friends' computers cannot read Chinese, I tried the calligraphy for you and hope my effort will be some help with you to learn Chinese culture.

I do not know why the color was changed to be yellow by the camera and my original painting is green much more. :-)

MAIN MEANING OF THE POEM:

Luxuriant grass on the (ancient) plain,
one year once grows and withers.
Wildfire cannot burn it out,
(it) regrows in the spring breeze.
