Remarks:
I painted this picture with a happy heart because I found it in the paintings of John James Audubon. I felt that a bigger world of art was being shown to me. The range of subjects that I wanted to paint was enlarging to include the animal kingdom and I liked this. I like the eyes of the hare, he is looking toward the ocean. Maybe he is thinking whether he can swim across the ocean to China from the U.S. :-) When I started to paint this picture, I felt that my draft looked just like a torto
