Title: Shirley's Art Works-1332-1333--Chinese Xieyi 776-777--My 614th-615th Assignments of CNAA & the 203rd-204th One of the Second Phase-March 15-20, 2018
Artist: Shirley Yiping Zhang
Size: 59cm x 138cm( 23.22inches x 54.33inches)
Completed Time: March 20, 2018
Remarks:
They are my my 132 & 133 paintings since 2003,the 775thChinese Xieyi Painting, my 615th and 616th Assignments (the 203rd & 204th Painting as an candidate of Degree of Master of Fine Arts ) in Chinese National Academy of Arts.

What I wanted to do is to express the artistic conception of an ancient Chinese poem with the pure Chinese ink which is my assignment to master the technique to use only black and white colors.

I did it 5 times and finally finished the two paintings.

Something made me smile was that a poet in Beijing bought the first one which is below as soon as I showed it to one group of my friends. The interesting thing was that he was afraid of me not sell it to him, so that he sent some deposit before I realized what was that and why he did it.

Wow! My Godness! I had no choice at all. So, I tried to paint another one soon.

Anyway, since it is a Chinese Xieyi Painting and I didn't copy it, so, you can found many places different between the two paintings.

How do you think of the two paintings? Which one do you enjoy?
