Title: Shirley's Art Works 831 & Xieyi 433-A194-Shirley's 221st Assignment at Chinese National Academy of Arts-- has not been finished yet --July 1-23, 2013
Artist: Shirley Yiping Zhang
Size: 139.80cm x 188.70cm ( 54.72 inches x 74.29 inches ) - Chinese Ink on Paper
Completed Time: Has not Been Finished up Yet
Remarks:
This is and my 829th painting , the 433rd Chinese Xieyi Painting, my 80th Landscape and the 221st assignment at Chinese National Academy of Arts.

I have worked on this painting for 23 days ( include the 7 days I did in 2012), I thought that I could complete it until July 19, but, after I colored the background, I did not think that I could finish it soon. And in the better light in the new classroom, I did have the feeling the more I painted, the more things I wanted to work on. Now, I guess that I will at least need another 3 - 5 days or maybe 1 week to complete it. :- )

This is an ancient classical painting by Li Tang in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279), was created in 1124.

Until now, I am the only student who has painted this painting with the origianl size and the other student painted it with a size smaller than it. Both of us are the two students who have worked on it among the 32 students in 2012 class year.

Since it expresses many different pins in the painting, I am also writing an article, to introduce something about pins in Chinese culture. I will let you see the completed painting and the article with my next letter to you.

How do you think of my work? Do you enjoy it?

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, you are welcome to write to shirley@ebridge.cn,you can also publish your opinions on Message Board . :-)
