Remarks:
This is my 798th painting since 2003and the 438th Chinese Xieyi Painting, the 193rd assignment that I have completed in Chinese National Academy of Arts .

This is the 16th painting that I painted for the series stories and my long scroll《二十四孝》: Er Shi Si Xiao Tu -- The Twenty-Four Dutiful Children .

This story names 乳姑不怠: Mrs.Tang Fed Her Mother-in-Law with Her Own Human Milk Tirelessly.

Cui Nanshan was from Boling (in today’s Henan) and lived in Tang Dynasty (618-907). His great-grandmother Mrs. Zhang Sun was old so that there was any tooth. His grand mother Mrs. Tang was very filial piety. Every day, after washing her hands and face, she would go to feed her mother-in-law with her own human milk. She looked her mother-in-law this way for several years, and Mrs. Zhang Sun did not eat anything else during the time, but she was still very healthy.

One day, Mrs. Zhang Sun was very ill, she called all of the children together and said: “I have nothing to repay my daughter- in-law for her did for me, just wish that her daughter-in-law also treats her as she treats me .”

Later, Cui Nanshan became a military governorships - a high rank official , both of he and his wife just as their great-grandmother expected, looked after their grandmother very well.

With much moved, I painted this painting.

How do you think of this painting and this story? Do you enjoy them?
