Title: My Sketch from Nature- 104: Shirley's 64th Assignment in Chinese National Academy of Arts -April 18- 19, 2012
Artist: Shirley Zhang
Size: 41.00cm x 31cm ( 20.05inches x 16.14inches) Pen on Sketchbook
Completed Time: April 19, 2012
Remarks:
This is my 12nd sketch from nature since April 7 and I painted in the garden of the peach blossoms near the school in Beijing April 18 to 19.

As soon as I came back Beijing, I asked my tutor - Mr. Lu Wenqing to check my assignments that I did in Shenzhen and on the first day I came back Beijing.

With a big smile, Mr. Lu said I did a "Very good " job. Then he not only pointed out the problems in my works, but also, he taught me how to change a sketch to be a creative art works.

Also, he especially asked me to pay more attention to the structure of every flower and also to see how the leaves to grow up from the branches and all of the details...

According to his directions, I went to the garden of the peach blossoms 3 times for over 6 hours and completed this sketch.

My classmates told me that I should add another branches on the left to make the painting more balance.

How do you think of this sketch? Do you enjoy it?
