Title: Shirley Created Art - Chinese Xieyi -0234: Dream- Peonies-12 My 35th Painting in the US
Artist: Shirley Zhang
Size: 51cm x 101cm (20 inches x 40 inches)
Completed Time: Tuesday, August 4, 2009
Remarks:
It is my 234rdChinese Xieyi Painting and my 404th picture since 2003, the 33d picture that I have created in 2009 and the 35th painting in the US.

As soon as I finished my past painting, I thought I should re-create it. Because I did not think that I had resolved the two problems of the top part of the branches too thick and the flowers' petals too hard.

So,. I tried to adjust my way, when I finished the flowers; I have had some new feelings about the wet degree of the colors. I feel the flower petals look like much softer than the last paintings and the branches seemed like better.

But, the leave’s colors are too light and to noise -- my new apartment’s light was too dark to see the colors clear; I just painted the leaves according to my feelings instead of my eyes... :-)

So, today, Army, Kathy and Heidi have lent a beautiful floor lamp to me, I think I will continue to try in the bright lamps soon...

How do you think of the two pictures? Do you like which one?
