Title: Shirley Created Art - Chinese Xieyi -0233: Warm- Peonies-11 My 34th Painting in the US
Artist: Shirley Zhang
Size: 51cm x 101cm (20 inches x 40 inches)
Completed Time: Tuesday, August 4, 2009
Remarks:
It is my 233rdChinese Xieyi Painting and my 403rd picture since 2003, the 32nd picture that I have created in 2009 and the 34th painting in the US.

I created this picture for I did not think that the branches seemed like good in my last painting. Also, I have been thinking that I did not do well to express the soft characteristics of the pink peonies yet. My flowers' petals were always too hard and seemed like too thick, I wanted correct the two problems. Also, the branches of the flowers needed to improve.

After I did, I found the root part of the branches seemed like better, but, the top part worse than the original one and also some of flowers' petals still too thick.

So, I decided to re-create my 3rd painting after I came to the new apartment later.

Besides, accept my mentor -- Dr. Booth’s advices, I have stopped to write the titles, numbers and my name in English with ink as did. And to make the painting is more Chinese.

Anyway I wrote them in pen in the pictures. Do you know where I wrote them on? On the branches of the trees. :-)

How do you think of the two pictures? Do you like which one?
