Title: Shirley Created Art - Chinese Xieyi -0209: Spring - My 11st Painting in the US
Artist: Shirley Zhang
Size: 105 cm x 49cm (41.34 inch x 19.24inch)
Completed Time: Wednesday, April 8, 2009
Remarks:
This is my 209thChinese Xieyi Painting and it is one of my 379th pictures since 2003, the 9th picture that I have created in 2009 and the 11th painting in the US.

Wednesday night, with a happy heart from the good news that I have past the examination, I created this picture as my assignment according to the requirement of my Chinese art teacher Mr. Tao.

I feel so luck that I have met my Chinese art teacher who is from China Central Academy Of Fine Arts and got his patiently teaching and directions for 6 years. I am more touched by the directions from the far away China when I am in the US, when he has to offer some lessons in 2 art colleges while to direct his students in his own art studios. Especially, when he is preparing his wedding in May Day. Since it is impossible to attend his wedding. We have had an appointment that I will certainly make a telephone during wedding and to send my bless to them from the other side of the Ocean.

With much grateful heart, I worked until 3:30am and sent my works to him in my first holiday night.

Mr. Tao gave me 91 marks and pointed out 3 problems that I should pay more attention to:

1.The layers of the peonies are not enough;
2.The branches lack changing ? should have some wet and dry changing.
3.The water too much in the leaves and lack the quality’s changing.

So, as long as I can, I will re-paint this picture soon.

How do you think of this picture, do you like it?
