Title: Shirley Created Art -- Chinese Xieyi -- 0164: Peony
Artist: Shirley Zhang
Size: 35cm x 53cm
Completed Time: Thursday, April 24, 2008
Remarks:
This is my 165th Chinese Xieyi Painting that I painted in My Art Lesson. Also, it is the 21st painting that I have painted in 2008.

Peony is one of my favorite flowers and also it is one of the most popular flowers in China. Every spring, there are many peony exhibitions in China. The most famous is Luoyang Peony Fair. Luoyang is also called Peony City.

This week, I have painted two new pictures of peonies, one is Chinese Gongbi Painting, but I have not finished it yet. The other is Chinese Xieyi Paintingsand I hope you enjoy it.

I did not have art lessons for two weeks for some reasons, but, I did not stop to paint during the time. When my teacher saw my last two paintings with my own combined arts style in my art lesson, he was quite glad for my effort and thought that my Chinese painting level has had some new progress and thought they would be certainly bought if I wanted to sell then in the market. So,

Shirley Created Combined Art -- 015: Qing Ming was given 85 marks for the left and down part should not be too outstanding as now.
Shirley Created Combined Art -- 016: Guan Ju was given 90 marks for the branches of the wickers should have more changes. :-)

Every time, I write these comments here for I would like to remember my teacher's comments and to correct my roblems in my painting and to improve myself day and day.

How do you think of my new paintings, do you enjoy them?

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, welcome to write to shirley@ebridge.cn, you can also publish your opinions in Forum . :-)
