Title: Shirley Created Art --Chinese Gongbi--024: The Spring, The Hope
Artist: Shirley Zhang
Size: 66cm x 66cm
Completed Time: Sunday, Sep 23, 2007 -- Attached on Nov 17, 2007
Remarks:
It is a very hard job to complete a Chinese Gongbi Painting , so, I never send any this kind of painting to anyone. Every time, when my friends come to see my paintings, I would announce that I never send any Goingbi painting to anyone. So, this is the first time that I sent one to someone -- my former roommate 30 years ago and her husband. After all, she is a special friend in the special times; after all, we had gone a very hard and memorable time together...

My teacher found a professional company to attach it on a special hard matter with silk and made it as a formal scroll. Before they send it to their home -- Haerbin City via the post station, I took a picture for it and hope you see it has changed even and enjoy it... :-)

--------------

It is interesting that two woman friends, my new vocal music teacher and my health care doctor came to my home in different time, but they enjoyed a same painting -- Spring Is Coming and wanted to collect it.

Since, both of them are my good friends and I have promised to paint it for them. Since time has not allowed me to create a new picture to match a Chinese classical poem until Saturday, so, I started it on a piece of silk..

I worked on it for whole of the weekend for it has many detail as a Chinese Gongbei Painting. Once more, I felt the peaceful in my heart when I was painting. I do feel that to paint, especially painting a Chinese Gongbi Painting is the best medicine to bring a people a calm and peaceful

It has not really finished for I have to send it to somewhere and to entrust a company to level it and attach it on some hard thing, then to match it a frame or spindle.

How do you think of this picture, do you like it? I do hope that you will find that I have made a little bit progress.
