Title: Shirley Created Art -- Chinese Xieyi 0123: Welcome Spring
Artist: Shirley Zhang
Size: 67cm x 67cm
Completed Time: Wednesday, February 21, 2007
Remarks:
This is my 123rd Chinese Xieyi -- Freehand brushworks painting that I created in my art lesson Wednesday night. :-)

It is still in the Spring Festival holiday. But, it is near the time for Chinese art and music students taking part in their national exam of the art colleges, my Chinese art teacher still works in the holiday and I still have my lesson normally. :-)

This is the first time that I learned to paint the new plant. So, as soon as my teacher left, I forgot its name. :-) But, I have really seen it and I can imagine what it is like. :-)

My teacher thought this is a good picture except the leaves of the bamboo look like not good enough, that is why, I got 85 marks only. I do agree with the comments and I do think that my bamboo painting level needs to be improved via much more practice. :-)

How do you think of this picture? Do you enjoy it?
