Title: Shirley's Art Works 765 & Xieyi 420-A130-Shirley's 164th Assignment in Chinese National Academy of Arts --Dec 7, 2012 |
Artist: Shirley Zhang |
Size: cm x cm (inches x inches ) - Chinese Ink on Paper |
Completed Time: Dec 7, 2012 |
Remarks: This is and a part of my 765th painting , the 420th Chinese Xieyi Painting, a part of my 78th Landscape ( the 15th Chinese Ink Landscape), and my 164th assignment in Chinese National Academy of Arts since Oct 7, 2011.
I learned to paint this painting from Fan Kuan (990–1020)who was one of the greatest artists in Song Dynasty (960–1279).
After drafted it for 3 days, I have painted it for 5 days, I just completed 1/4 of whole of the painting.
During I painted it, the temperature outside was -10 to -8 C degrees and the heating system has not started to work in the building, it was just 7 or 8 C degrees in the classroom.
I tried to "escape back" home to pain it for one day, my eyes were not uncomfortable so that I felt headache even though I changed a bigger lamp light and used two reading lamps at the same time.
So, I went back the classroom to work. Since it was too cold, I wore in a fur coat and each time worked for just about 3 hours, then "escape back" home to warm myself for a while, then went back to work in the cold classroom.
Anyway, day and day, I have really completed the most complex part already.
How do you think of this part of the painting? Do you enjoy it?
